Wagetap is a wage advance company disrupting the payday loan category by making it fairer and easier for Australians to access their pay on demand. We initially consulted Wagetap on their GTM launch in 2020, helping set up their advertising strategy and turn on their first ads. Four years later, our relationship has gone from strength to strength as Wagetap has grown from scrappy startup to market leader.
Wagetap competes against big companies in a number of finance categories. They’re outspent, outgunned and although their product does the heavy lifting, to keep growing they need their advertising to work harder and do more than their competitors.
Implement a weekly experimentation process to constantly test messages, creative, bid strategies and audiences to find combinations that deliver great returns. Experiment learnings are combined into a repository of ever building IP that helps Wagetap constantly improve and spend advertising more effectively. Using Segment campaigns, we target very specific audiences bidding to withdrawal amounts for retention and 1st time withdrawals for new users. This allows us to make investment decisions based on CAC thresholds and for Wagetap to grow profitably as they continue to take on the market.
